Dear Audrey & family I’m sorry that this note is arriving so late. I have been quite ill for over 2 weeks & unable to go out of the house until today. I’m sorry I didn’t get this written sooner & was unable to attend the wake or funeral. I remember being quite happy for you both when I first met Dave. He was truly a nice guy and you were able to join both parents & kids to make one lovely family. Good for you both & the kids. Please pass my sympathy on to all of them, especially Gord & Dave as I doubt if Dave’s kids would even know who I was. I have been praying for all of you andwill continue to do. Audrey, I am so sorry for you loss. Dave was a wonderful person and a lot of fun when he was around. I went skiing with him and my dad (Ron Derbowka) one time and Dave was so patient with me. We will see you at the funeral Audrey . You were an amazing wife to Dave . I am sure the kids are at a loss --Dave was a fun guy and not afraid to rise to a challenge . As a kid I was in awe of his speed boat racing . His art work simply amazing especially his statues. You both made a beautiful home and you both worked hard . So sad to hear of David’s passing , we used to swim together at the Royal Brock and had some great laughs. We shared many memories of Brockville, and he told me lots of stories of his childhood friendship with my older brother Roger Chambers . He was an all round great guy and will be missed by many .
