Obituary of James Astleford

James George Astleford (Jim), entered into rest on December 4, 2024 with family by his side. Beloved wife of Sherian Astleford. Loving father of Steven Astleford, Susan Kenney (predeceased), step-daughters, Crystal Dietschweiler (Carl), Dawn VanderVelde (Kevin), Sandy Anderson. Survived by sister, Linda Sabourin, brothers, Robert Astleford and Ronald Astleford (Anne) and several grandchildren, one great granddaughter, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Horton and Marion and siblings, Ann, Ralph, Diane, Ken and Wayne.

Jim worked many years for CP Rail and was a volunteer firefighter at the New Dublin Fire Station. After retiring, Jim enjoyed spending time with family, riding his motorcycles, farming and working part time at Rona.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Lawrence Lodge for their wonderful care and support during such a difficult time.

A private graveside service will be held at Greenbank Cemetery in Elizabethtown. In Memory of James, donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be gratefully acknowledged.
