Obituary of Stuart Wayne Patterson

Entered into rest on Saturday, December 14, 2024, Stuart Wayne Patterson, aged 76 years. Beloved husband of Terry (née Hammond) Patterson. Stuart is survived by his sons Wayne (Maureen), Jeffrey (Samantha), and stepdaughter Valerie (Matthew). Proud grandfather of Connor, MacKenzie, and step-grandchildren Rayna, Alexa, and Marcus. Stuart will be dearly missed by his four-legged best friend Coby, his siblings Mary Lou (Ted), Laura (John), Valerie (Steven), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Throughout his life, Stu was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing in any form. In addition to this, he had a passion for wildlife art, painting and carving duck figures.

Stu spent 30 years employed by the Toronto Sun, finishing as the director of production. In retirement, he confirmed his love for fishing as a charter fishing captain on Lake Ontario.

At Stuart's request, cremation will take place with no formal service at this time. In Stuart's memory, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or CHPC would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
