Peacefully at his residence, on Thursday November 15, 2007. William George Gordon Atkins of Brockville, aged 86 years. Beloved husband of the late Verna LeClair Atkins. Dear father of Joan Quartus and her husband Elwin of R.R. # 4 Brockville, Linda Whaley and her husband Roy of R.R. # 1 Lyn and Dennis Atkins and his wife Jeanne of Brockville. Loving grandfather of Shelley Huskinson, Lisa Gallacher (Darryl), Douglas Quartus (Lynn), Scott Watson (Brandy), Angela Covey (Michael), Tyler Atkins, Kyle Atkins and great-grandchildren Stephanie, Benjamin, Matthew, Katherine, Jacqueline, Mercedez and Mackenzie. Also survived by a sister Doris Mace of Brockville and several nieces,nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents George Atkins and his wife Violet Field Atkins and 2 sisters Betty Kelly and Lillian Harper. At Gord's request a private family visitation at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East Brockville from 11 a.m. Saturday November 17, 2007 followed by a Graveside Service at 1 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery, Brockville.
