Entered into rest after a brief battle with cancer, at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Monday June 11th, 2007. James Harkness of Carleton Place (Formerly of the Brockville area) aged 64 years. Father of Amy of Toronto and Stacey of Peterborough. Dear brother of Peggy Bush of Victoria, B.C., Doug Harkness of Carleton Place and Terry Prime of Nepean. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Donald and Dorothy (Bell) Harkness. Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East Brockville on Tuesday from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday June 19th, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Harkness Cemetery at a later date. In memoriams to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
