Entered into rest peacefully with his son by his side, at his residence on Saturday April 21, 2007. Leo Walter Hughes Sr. of Brockville, aged 82 years. Beloved husband of the late Doris Jennie McCumber. Dear father Doris Mackey of Mexico and Walter Hughes Jr. of Brockville. Grandfather of Hannah Dickson of Brockville, Dennis Mackey and Samuel Mackey (Raquel) all of Kingston. Great grandmother of Elizabeth and Steve Dickson Jr., also survived by a brother Edward Hughes Jr. (Carol-Ann) several nieces and a nephew. Predeceased by his parents Percy Edgerton Hughes and his wife Mamie Peterson Hughes, a sister Lillian Ward and a brother Marshall Hughes. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Servies, St. Elizabeth Health Care Staff, Red Cross Homemakers, a special thanks to neighbours Les and Bev Willard, Dr. Reddy and Dr. Holmes for the care and consideration they provided. At the request of Mr. Hughes Sr. there will be no visitation or service. A private family service will be held at Oakland Cemetery.
