Peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Thursday May 17th, 2007. The former Pearl Dorene Knapp of Brockville aged 91 years. Beloved wife of the late William "Eddie" Byers. Dear mother of Heather White and her husband Patrick of Brockville and William "Bill" Byers of Sarnia. Grandmother of Tracey Kawamoto (Robert) of Missassauga, Leann Halpenny (Scott) of Sault Ste. Marie and Amy White of Ashburn. Great-grandmother of Ryan Kawamoto, Byers Kawamoto and Chloe Halpenny. Mrs. Byers is also survived by a brother-in-law James Gilchrist of Kingston and his family as well as a sister-in-law Ena Johnston of Kingston and her family. Predeceased by 2 sisters Elsie Knapp and Alma Gilchrist. By the request of Mrs. Byers, cremation will take place with private family interment at Maynard Cemetery at a later date.
