WHITEHORNE, Gladys Anna Peacefully entered into rest at Brockville General Hospital Garden St. Site, on Thursday February 27th, 2014, the former Gladys McBroon aged 91 years. Beloved wife of the late James “Jim” Whitehorne. Loving mom of Jane Cuthbert (Glenn), Alex (Sharon), Doug (Kim) and Ron Whitehorne (Connie), Veldon Jelly (Doreen) and the late David Whitehorne. Cherished “nanny” to 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also predeceased by parents Walter and Florence (Ferguson) McBroom, and siblings Gerald and Marion McBroom, and Douglas, James and Howard Conklin. Family and Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East Brockville on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Centre Street in Prescott, on Monday March 3rd, 2014 at 11;00 am. Interment Maynard Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Gladys donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care or St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
