Peacefully in Hospital on Sunday December 10th, 2006. Simona (Mona) Oorschot Groen of Brockville (Formerly of Kanata) aged 73 years. Beloved wife of Aren Groen. Dear mother of Dinah Newberry and her Husband Wayne of Orleans, Sharon Vrieling and her husband Jerry of Brockville, Aren Groen of Ottawa and Richard Groen of Brockville. Loving Oma of Erica, Kevin, Pamela, Trevor and Vivian. Sister of Gerda Wallenburg and her husband KO of the Netherlands, Ria Holst and her husband Joop of Hamilton and Jan Oorschot and his wife Ton of North Bay. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Simon and Gerrigje Vonk Oorschot, a sister and her husband Lisa Wils and her husband Rien. Friends may call at the Barclay funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East Brockville on Wednesday December 13, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday December 14th, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery at a later date.
