Peacefully with her family by her side at the Sherwood Park Manor on Monday August 28th, 2006. The former Viona "Vi" Marie Shearer of Lyn, age 89 years.Beloved wife of the late Charles Barrington "Barry" Slack. Dear mother of Charles Slack and his wife Marilyn of Lyn, Marjorie Paterson and her husband Alex of Toronto, Jim Slack and his wife Wendy of Sault Ste Marie and Brian Powell of Mallorytown. Survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Thomas Shearer and his wife Rhoda (Nowlan) Shearer, three brothers Edward, Thomas and Edwin Shearer and four sisters Isabella Shearer, Maneta Andress, Dorothy Slack and Ethel Morrow. Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East Brockville on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday September 1st. 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland.
