Ruth loved animals since she was a small child, and after high school it was natural for her to pursue a degree and career in wildlife biology. She received her BSc at the University of Guelph, with a special interest in ornithology. She was devoted to the care of injured and orphaned animals, and also established her own research consulting business, including contracts with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.
Ruth was a very gifted artist, and those of us who have her artwork cherish these wonderful drawings.
A quiet, loving soul with a good sense of humour and a great deal of compassion for all the creatures on earth, Ruth is missed by those who knew, accepted and loved her for everything she was.
