"Never to be forgotten, memories forever" Died peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday July, 15, 2006 at the age of 49. Bert Van Den Kerkhof of RR# 2 Lansdowne, loving husband of Michele (Scott) and devoted father of Nicholas, Matthew and predeceased by infant son Benjamin. Son of the late Gertruda and Martin Van Den Kerkhof and brother of the late John Van Den Kerkhof. He will be deeply missed by his 5 sisters Wilhelmina Leadbeater (Albert), Elizabeth Van Den Kerkhof (David Goldstein), Mary Breckenridge (Mark), Sylvia Robb (Michael) and Monica Warren (Bill). Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews Saskia, Kelly, Allie, Martin, Rachel, Trudy, Jessica, Melanie, Kevin and Will. Sadly remembered by his father-in-law and his mother-in-law Rick and Judy (Scott) Simpson and his sister-in-law and his brother-in-law Rosanne and Brad Kirkham and his nephew Jordan and his niece Rachel. Also remembered fondly by Nellie Van Den Kerkhof and his special companion Jake Van Den Kerkhof. The family will receive friends at the Barclay Funeral Home, Lansdowne on Wednesday July 19, 2006 7-9 p.m. and Thursday July 20, 2006 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Patrick's Church, Lansdowne on Friday July 21, 2006 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or to an Educational Trust Fund for Nicholas and Matthew would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
