Peacefully at Sherwood Park Manor, Brockville on Monday January 23rd. 2006. Robert Guy Carington Smith of Brockville, age 98 years. Beloved husband of the late Isobel Price and the late Jean McCaig. Loving father of Ann Van Alstyne of Kingston, Pamela McCarter of White Plains, N.Y. and Pennie Younger (David) of Ottawa. Survived by 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Son of the late Harcourt and Valliere Smith, also predeceased by sons-in law William Van Alstyne and Douglas McCarter and brothers Lex and Gordon. A memorial service for Mr. Smith will be held at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Brockville on Saturday Feburary 18th. 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Mount Hermon Cemetery, Quebec City at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Tadoussac Protestant Chapel, Royal Military College Foundation, Kingston or Sherwood Park Manor, Brockville.
