Peacefully in Brockville in his 91st year. Devoted husband of Nellie to whom he was married for nearly 60 years. Father of James Morris (Hueguette) and of Ross Albert (partner Alona), grandfather of Glenn James, uncle of Darrell Ramsay, George, Linda and Joanne Brown, John Morris, Keith Morris, Bonnie Lecouffe, Brenda Maag and Lynn Morris, brother-in-law of Russell Brown. J.P. lived inMontreal for his long working life with Dominion Textile, interrupted by war service in England with the Provost Corps. After retirement he and Nellie settled in the Eastern Townships for several years, while the last years of their life together were spent in Brockville. He was an active Mason and attended St. Peter's Church. A memorial service for Mr. Mabbutt will be held in the Chapel of the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East Brockville on Friday February 24th. 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations to Sherwood Park Manor would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
