Peacefully at her residence, with her family by her side on Thursday, January 12th. 2006. The former Marion Lackie of Brockville in her 95th. year. Beloved wife of the late Melvin Baker. Dear mother of Beverley Souder and her husband Don, Doris Roles and her husband Ron, Lyle Baker and his wife Barbara, Linda Plant and Bob and Sandra White. Mrs. Baker is survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Roberta Weir, Helen Smith, Greta Hoy, Jean Smith, Shirley Earl and by a brother Lorne Lackie and a sister-in-law Jean Lackie. Predeceased by sisters Irene Scott, Dorothy in childhood, a brother Eldon Lackie and sons-in-law Wayne Plant and Eric White. Friends and family may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street, East, Brockville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and also on Saturday from 12 noon until 1:45 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 14th. 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment at Union Cemetery, Merrickville in the spring.
