Peacefully with his family by his side at the Brockville General Hospital Garden Street Site on Friday July 24, 2009. James (Jim) H. Elks of Brockville age 81 years. Beloved husband of Isabel (Boyle) Elks. Loving dad of James Elks and his wife Joanne of Brockville and Janet (Kaylin) of Ottawa. Cherished granddad of Michael, Eric, Conner and Cameron. Also survived by 3 nephews and a niece. Predeceased by his parents William and Lillian (Godfrey) Elks and sisters Barbara and Mary. A Memorial Service for Mr. Elks will be held at Saint Lawrence Anglican Church Brockville (Corner of Park and Pine formerly St. Peters) on Friday August 7, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. In memoriams to the Brockville Public Library, Canadian Cancer Society or Saint Lawrence Anglican Church would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
