Entered into the Eternal Life of God Our Creator on April 25th, 2005 at the Brockville General Hospital. Beloved Brother of Frederick N. and Britta Smith of Westmount, Quebec. Devoted Uncle of Peter, Fiona, Mariam, Sara, Inez and Laura. Cousin of Mary and the late Peter Smith and Family. Loyal Priest Colleague and Friend of The Reverend Father Roy H. Nixon and former Priests in the Diocese of Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan and the Diocese of Montreal. Father Gordon enjoyed his friendships with dear people in the Brockville area, and many people throughout his life as a member of the Royal Canadian Army Service Corp in Canada and overseas, as a faithful Priest and friend. Father Gordon was in his Fiftieth year of Ordination in the Sacred Priesthood of Christ, and before retirement served in Parishes on the Prairie in Saskatchewan at Mortlach, Lumsden, Gull Lake, Hodgeville, Craik and Rougement and Farnham, Quebec in the Eastern Townships. Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East Brockville . Visitation hours are Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday April 28th. 2005 from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. Burial Office of the Church will be recited by the Rector Canon P. Michael Read of St. Peter's Anglican Church, Brockville at 11:30 a.m. Cremation will follow at Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated at the Convent Chapel of The Sisterhood of St. John the Divine, 225 Cummer Avenue, Toronto, ON. The Committal Liturgy will take Place in St. Thomas Parish Church Cemetery, Rougemount, Quebec.
