Obituary of Alex Skilling

Peacefully, with family closely around him, Alex Skilling passed away at the General Hospital in Ottawa on the 20th. of June, 2005. Loving husband to Margaret. Cherished father to Netta Weatherall and Sandra Richardson. Beloved grandfather to Michael, Stephanie and Andrew. Formerly from Kilmarnock, Scotland, then Ste. Theresa, Quebec and now Brockville. Alex was a war vet and served overseas for six years. While in Scotland he became a member of the Masonic Lodge and later a member of the Shrine. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. We would like to thank all the doctors and staff of the Ottawa General Hospital, who gave so freely of their time and care, we will never forget their kindness. Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street, East, Brockville on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m.- 12 noon. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, June 23rd. 2005 at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 96 will hold a Memorial Service on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. followed by Sussex Masonic Lodge No. 5 G.R.C. at 7:15 p.m.
