Sincere condolences to Joan and family. Walter and I so enjoyed our square dancing days with Bob. He was good natured and always had a good joke to share. Since this Covid stopped the dancing, we have missed our good friends and will remember our good times fondly. Dinah Merkx and Walter Westerman.

Jean and I were deeply saddened to learn of Bob's passing. While unfortunately we did not remain in touch after Joan and Bob moved to Brockville, I nevertheless have many fond memories working with Bob at CIBC Main Branch, Commerce Court. At that time, Bob coaxed me into joining his poker group which met monthly at our respective homes and that relationship lasted for some 20 years. Bob was invariably in high spirits, full of jokes and just plain fun to be with. Bob was a very innovative and successful banker and in every respect, a wonderful human being. Jean joins me in expressing our sincerest condolences to Joan and the boys.

We were shocked and saddened by the news that Bob passed away. He was a good friend and my "poker buddy"! I'll miss our neighborhood poker games the most as Bob was always engaged and shared a few of his latest jokes with us, while taking our money of course! While we were not able to play these last two years, I am grateful we were still able to share a hello and some jokes while walking by. We're going to miss him.
Our condolences to Joan, to your kids. and your extended family. I will have a couple of beers in memory of him, remembering all the good times.

Ruth Ann and I were deeply saddened to learn of Bob's death. A friend, colleague and lead member of our monthly poker group when he lived in Mississauga, our association goes back more than 50 years. Regardless of the circumstances, Bob always displayed a positive attitude, a quick wit, a genuine concern for others and a willingness to "go the extra mile".
Our sincere sympathy to his wife, Joan, to his two sons and their families.

I was saddened today to learn of Bob's passing. I worked for Bob at CIBC and he was always extremely good to me. I would run into him occasionally in downtown Toronto after he left CIBC and he was always the same positive individual I knew at the bank. He made the world a better place.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Bob's recent passing. I have very fond memories of working closely with Bob at CIBC during the 1980's and 1990's. I always found him to be very conscientious and concerned for the welfare of others. Bob was a delight to be around and I know that he will be missed by family and friends alike. It was a pleasure to have known him.
Peggy joins me in extending deepest sympathies to Joan, Kevin and Craig as well the rest of the Maddock family, on your loss.

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Bob. When I joined CIBC in Smiths Falls in 1959, I was numerical replacement for Bob who was transferred for a promotion. We lost touch for the longest time but when I was transferred to Toronto Head Office in 1980, Bob was working at Commerce Court Branch. We connected again and shared regular lunch to keep in touch. Then I joined a poker group of CIBCers of which Bob was the organizer and we played each month. I will always remember Bob as a real gentleman and a very funny guy. He always had a good joke to tell. My sincere sympathy to Joan, the family and friends. He will be missed.

I worked for Bob when the Regional Office moved to Hamilton. You couldn’t ask for a nicer man to have as your boss. He treated everyone with respect and I think we had the best office environment to work in. Bob was not only my boss but he and Joan became good friends to John and I. Very sad news. John and I send our sincere condolences to Joan, Kevin and Craig and their spouses. He truly was one of the good guys!
