I posted this in the Ottawa Citizen on March 8,2022 My condolences to all who knew and loved Willy. I was shocked to hear of his passing. He was one of the first people to welcome me to Bell High when I switched schools…a big man with a big heart! It makes me smile now thinking about those days. He was a good friend. We had lots of fun and shared many a laugh and great moments. It makes me sad to think he's gone. I share in your grief even today as I thought about him on this cold winter’s day. He was too young to say goodbye!

It is so interesting as I get older I keep an eye on the obituaries in the Ottawa Citizen probably for the reason that many do as we age to keep an eye on people that crossed our paths in life. I met Willy while going to Algonquin and while we were in different programs we shared time while with the students union in 1974 - 1975 . A lot has passed under our feet since then and we lost touch, I do remember the times and discussions we had as young men always fun and full of energy. My condolences to his family. Don Bishop
